[번역]템포스톰 46회차. 2월10일

정규전 등장으로 템포스톰 덱 랭킹이 무슨 의미냐는 분들도 많지만.. 그래도 할 일 하겠습니다. 이번 주는 건너뛰는줄 알았더니 좀 늦게 나왔네요. 그림판으로 편집했더니 조금 그림이 지저분한 점은 이해를 ㅠ

 

 

Better Late Than Never

늦는게 없는것 보다는 낫다.

 

 

 

I know many of you have been wondering where the Snapshot is, why it hasn't come out sooner. All I can say is better late than never right? Unfortunately certain elements were out of our control, and this is the first opportunity we have had to post it. We do intend on returning to the regular schedule this week and plan to produce the next Snapshot on schedule this Sunday. Fortunately there have still been no major developments in the most stale of metas, so you haven't missed much by being deprived of the Snapshot for an extra day and a half.

 

많은 사람들이 왜 스냅샷이 어디갔으며, 왜 빨리 나오지 않는지 궁금해 했다는 사실은 알고 있었다. 내가 말할 수 있는건 “그래도 안하는 것 보다는 늦는게 낫지 않겠습니까?” 이다. 불행하게도 몇몇 사항들에 문제가 있었으며, 이번이 처음으로 포스팅을 할 수 있는 기회였다. 우리는 정규적인 스케쥴로 돌아가고자 하며, 따라서 다음 스냅샷은 이번 주 일요일(한국시간으로 대략 월요일)에 포스팅 할 것이다. 다행히도 여전히 고착화된 메타에 중요한 변화는 없었으며, 따라서 당신이 하루 반 정도 스냅샷을 못 보게 된 것으로 크게 잃은 것은 없었을 것이다.

 

With the first week of a new season, the meta usually receives a shift as players break out their aggro decks to reach Legend as quickly as possible, unfortunately that is not quite the case this season. Yes, there has been an increase in Aggro Shaman, Zoolock, Secret Paladin, and a bit of Face Hunter on the side, but it hasn't been significant enough to shake up the meta rankings like a new season usually would. Mid-Range Druid is now such a stable and string deck that an increase in control or aggro doesn't have enough on an effect on the deck's performance to warrant a change in ranks.

 

 보통 시즌의 첫 주에는 플레이어들은 최대한 빨리 전설을 찍기 위해 어그로덱들로 전환하는 모습을 보이는데, 불행하게도 이번 주에는 그다지 예전같지 않았다. 물론, 어그로 주술사, 위니흑마, 파마기사, 그리고 약간의 돌냥들이 증가하기는 했지만, 이는 평소 새로운 시즌에 그랬던 것처럼 메타의 순위를 흔들 정도는 아니었다. 현재의 미드레인지 드루이드는 견고하면서 강력한 덱으로 컨트롤과 어그로 덱의 증가는 이 덱의 능력에 영향을 끼쳐 랭킹을 바꿀 정도는 아니다.

 

 

The same can be said for Secret Paladin, which can win almost any game with a strong Mysterious Challenger play into Dr. Boom and Tiron curve. Zoo's strength against aggro metas is undeniable as the deck centers around swarming the board to control the early game, easily countering Hunters or Aggro Druids.

 

이는 수수께끼의 도전자, 박사붐, 티리온을 순서대로 냄으로써 거의 모든 게임을 이길 수 있는 파마 기사에게도 적용되는 이야기이다. 또한 위니흑마가 가진 초반 필드를 휘어잡는 능력이 어그로 메타를 상대로 강력하고, 사냥꾼이나 어그로 드루이드를 쉽게 카운터친다는 사실은 부인할 수 없다.

  

The only change in Tier 1 is the shift from Freeze Mage back up to Rank 4. Freeze Mage moves up to Tier 1 as it is more capable of outlasting the early aggression of aggro decks with Ice Blocks, Frost Nova + Doomsayer combos, and other board clears. While it is not as good against aggro decks as something like Zoo, it is much more consistent against them than Tempo Mage, or Patron Warrior, which have both seen a decrease in play this week.

 

유일한 1티어에서의 변화는 냉법이 4위로 돌아갔다는 점이다. 냉법은 얼음 방패, 얼음회오리+파멸의예언자 콤보, 그리고 다른 광역기를 통해 어그로덱의 초반 공격을 늦출 수 있는 능력으로 1티어로 올라갔다. 비록 이 덱은 어그로 덱을 상대로는 위니흑마만큼 좋지는 않지만, 이번 주 감소세를 보였던 템포법사나 손님전사보다는 좀 더 단단함을 보여준다.

 

 

The number of Tier 1 and Tier 2 decks have also decreased this week. We decided to move Oil Rogue, Malylock, and Maly Rogue down to Tier 3 as they have not seen much play in several weeks. It is a strange position to be in as there is a greater disparity between popular decks (Tier 1/2) and the unplayed, but not unplayable Tier 3 decks.

 

또한, 이번 주, 1티어와 2티어의 덱 수는 줄어들었다. 우리는 몇 주간 잘 보이지 않게 된 기름도적, 말리도적, 그리고 말리흑마를 3티어로 내리기로 결정했다. 다른 인기있는 1,2티어 덱과 “잘 쓰게 되지 않은” 것과는 큰 차이가 있어서 “쓰기 어려운 3티어 덱” 으로 내려간 것은 좀 이상할 수 있다. (해석이 어려워 이 문장은 좀 의역을 했습니다)

 

 

Where we previously might have said that Tier 3 decks will face too many struggles on ladder to be worth playing, that is not true now. Many of the Tier 3 decks are viable on ladder, but they do come with serious challenges when you queue up as there are more bad match-ups than good. Basically what I'm saying is that you do not need to limit your ladder experience to Tier 1 and 2 decks, but understand the risks that come with playing a Tier 3 deck before you queue up.

 

 

우리는 기존 3티어 덱을 “등급전에서 쓰기에는 너무 많은 고생을 하게 될 것이다” 라고 정의했지만, 지금은 그렇지만는 않다. 많은 3티어 덱은 등급전에서 할만한 덱인데 다만 큐를 돌렸을 때 상성이 좋은 덱보다는 나쁜 상대를 만날 경우가 많다는 것이다. 기본적으로 나는 당신이 등급전의 경험을 1티어와 2티어 덱만으로 한정할 필요는 없다고 말하고 싶다. 다만 3티어 덱으로 큐를 돌리기 전에 리스크가 있다는 점은 이해하길 바란다.

 

(역주 : 결국 3티어덱 구리다는 말 아님..? 아무리 돌려 말해봐야 구리다는 말 같은데.. -_-)

 

 

At the end of the day, we're all just waiting for Blizzard to release Standard mode, which was announced last week. Almost every deck in the current meta will see a significant shift once Naxxramas and GvG are taken out of the competitive card pool. Most notably Mid-Range Druid will be the least altered deck in the new standard as the core Force of Nature + Savage Roar combo comes from the Basic/Classic collection. Fortunately Blizzard also said that they would be reworking several cards from these collections, and you can almost guarantee that this combo will be one of their primary targets. Everything is going to change, and we are looking forward to it.

 

 

결과적으로, 우리는 저번 주 공지된 “정규전 모드”를 블리자드가 공개하기를 기다릴 수 밖에 없다. 일단 낙스라마스와 고블린과 노움 팩이 경쟁력있는 카드들에서 빠지게 되면 현재 메타의 거의 모든 덱은 중대한 변화를 겪게 될 것이다. 특히 미드드루이드는 바뀐 등급전에서도 남을 것인데, 덱의 핵심인 자연의 군대+야생의 표효 콤보는 기본/오리지널 카드 팩에서 나오는 것이기 때문이다. 다행스럽게도, 블리자드는 이러한 카드 팩(기본/오리지널)의 몇몇 카드들도 재설계(reworking)할 것이라고 말했으며, 이 자군야포 콤보가 첫번째 타겟중 하나가 될 것은 거의 확실할 것으로 볼 수 있을 것이다.(과연.. 그럴까요?) 모든 것은 변할 것이며, 우리는 이를 기대하고 있다.  

 

As a final bit of news, the European Winter Championship Preliminaries are set to begin on February 13th (this coming Saturday) so go support your favorite players and check out the first major championship of the year!
